Events
The New York Family Business Center’s mission is to provide tools and resources specific to family businesses in Upstate New York in a nurturing and confidential environment. We provide this as an opportunity for Upstate New York leaders to have a forum to address their unique and critical issues of running a family business and help the business and the family to succeed in current and future generations.
Family Business Forums
Leading family business experts share insights and information on trends and techniques that can be applied to your business. The curriculum is driven by the needs and desires of members and only open to family business owners, family members and key employees.
Food for Thought
Sponsors present educational programs that highlight their areas of expertise for the family business. These shortened breakfast programs allow for in-depth discussion of topics relevant to the family business by area practitioners. Food for Thought events are open to family-owned businesses and privately held businesses.
Monthly Roundtables
These are peer groups that meet regularly, allowing members to share experiences and learn from each other. Members are committed to attend meetings as regularly as feasible. This gives an opportunity for members to learn from each other, seek advice and help with issues they are facing and provide guidance to their fellow members. Facilitators are brought in for topics that the group is interested in exploring. Currently these roundtables meet 10 or 11 times a year from 8:00 to 9:30 AM. If you are interested in joining a group please contact Donna at DHerlihy@NYFBC.org or 315.579.2871
